  • Probably not possible but I'll ask anyway

We are building a new WiFi network for devices and need to set the proxy config by a means other than WPAD/PAC files. Can I set the gateway to proxyIP: port for it to work? this will need to work for a number of devices including Windows laptops, iPhones, Android.
we really don't want to use wpad if at all possible

I don't think you can do this through DHCP.

You will need an inline proxy. What are you using for the proxy?

No, you can't set it in this manner.

Easiest option would be to block all outbound access at the firewall, put a proxy in between the firewall and the network and force port 80/443 traffic through that transparently.
