  • DHCP Migration fails (Win03 to Win08R2)

I'm using the guide a this TechNet page to migrate DHCP from our Server 2003 box to 2008 R2. However, when I get to step 2 under "Destination server final migration steps," PS tells me"

    Code:
The term 'Import-SmigServerSettings' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet,
function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or
if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.
    At line:1 char:26
    + Import-SmigServerSettings <<<< -FeatureID DHCP -Verbose
        + CategoryInfo : ObjectNotFound: (Import-SmigServerSettings:Strin
       g) [], CommandNotFoundException
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : CommandNotFoundException
Not sure where to go from here. I look at the event logs too, but I'm not sure which one would hold the events for this type of error.

    Thanks.

I had an extra "S" in the command. Interestingly, even after fixing the spelling, the problem persisted. I had to bounce the box and start over, but then it worked.
