      @ Nonapeptide
      I have only errors in DNS. (408 - 404 - 407)

      DHCP show nothing.

Yesterday i activate the second ethernet controller. And DHCP stay on right no.
But i can not connect by RDP. If i activate the second controller i have give this one the same Ip adres of the first one. The first one off course i disable.

Thus the value of a rigorous documentation process along with a nice change control procedure... even if it's just blogging it in an internal IT blog... is proven.

              Re: DHCP Server 2008

              Your DNS server is wrong.

This MUST be an internal DNS server, typically a DC.

External DNS servers whould be added on the forwarders tab in DNS.

                Wullieb1, Thanks!

If i understand well i need to change the IP DNS on my server in network connections.

                Something like that.

                Ip. 192.168.1.100
                Sub: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1 (ip adres of the router)

Preferred DNS: 195.130.131.5 (I need to change that to 192.168.1.100 ???)

In my DNS i need to add i think the 195.130.131.5 ?? The ip of my provider.

                Forward Lookup Zones - ascot.be -

I need to set up u New Host (A)?

Thanks guys for all the support.

No, You need to Configure the DNS Server to Use Forwarders (Your ISP): http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc754941.aspx

                    Re: DHCP Server 2008

I have try to change the DNS server to 192.168.1.100 = Ip adres of my server. And to add some forwarders.

                    DNS
                    - SERVER (Server Properties) - Forwarders in the forwards i have entered 195.130.130.5

But you can already imagining the internet dont work any more.
And the strange thing is that when i set the details back, stil it dont work!

Already thank you guys. I hope you can help me today!

Did you try and Power Cycle the Router?
Can you ping the Router, Server IP, Loopback (yeah, I know the reverse way to what MS wants)?
                      1 1 was a racehorse.
                      2 2 was 1 2.

Also make sure you clear the DNS server cache dnscmd ServerName /clearcache

And on the client side: Ipconfig /flushdns

A few things, Can you ping your ISP DNS server from your DNS server? Also, make sure the DNS server service is started as I noticed it was stopped.
