  • 2003 DHCP issues with unicast

    Hi,

I seem to have a little issue with 2003 as a DHCP Server.
On the servers VLAN there is no issue, the DHCP works correctly,
however when the DHCP packets are being relayed by the CheckPoint R65, the DHCP server (Win 2k3, SP2) gets the DHCP Discover packets and then ignores them and doesn't answer.

It is possible that the server is not listening to DHCP packets on that interface, as when I open the MMC it shows another IP from another network card, but when I try to set a binding through the MMC it just ignores it (Mark the checkbox, click OK and its gone when you check again...)

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Ido.

You may need to setup an IP Helper for the DHCP requests.

Do you have multiple scopes setup on the DHCP server to handle requests from other subnets???
