  • Limiting user to run just 3 applications at once

    Hello,

I am using windows 2003 sp1 with active directory and exchange 2003 with sp2
and I would like to limit some users to run just up to 3 or 4 application on their mashine. Is that possible to do with group policy?
I know that windows xp starter edition has limitation of that kind but it is possibe to control that in AD?
And client os is windows 2000 sp4 but I could upgrade that to xp.

    tnx in advance.

    Hello,
Do you refer to a restriction policy?
Yes, windows XP and 2003 have such capability using Software restriction policy.

I strongly suggest you to test any settings carefully. It is not difficult to lock out your self.
