I need help; is it possible to configure CentOS 5.5 as an Active Directory Domain Controller Server.

    Thank you.

AFAIK no - it can join a domain, but cannot be an AD domain controller
(someone more Linux-savvy will give a definitive answer)

Since version 4.0, Samba can act as an Active Directory DC.

Samba currently has a few limitations due to some functionality not being implemented, the most important is probably the lack of DFS-R support. In a multi-DC setup you have to find another way of synchronizing SYSVOL across DCs, rsync being the preferred option.
