  • Two Domains and Name resolution

    Dear All,

We have a domain with two domain controllers, both in our office and all our corporate servers, e.g. email, account, file server and users PC's are reporting to these two domain controllers, lets call it ''

we are working with ministry and are hosting services for them in our office data center, there are approximately 50 servers. For this we created another domain call it '' so it has its own internal DNS which is different from our internal corporate DNS server.

in '' domain we have created a forward zone and reverse zone and this zone containing all servers which are in our corporate environment and reporting to '

What we want to have is want to have name resolution of all '' servers from our user PC's which are reporting to '' because the staff works on ministry servers to develop applications and like database team works on DB. But what is happening when a user use his 'preferred and alternate DNS as of domain' he is able to do name resolution for ministry servers for corporate server like for example email will work for a day or two and then shows disconencted, similarly authentication for using internet also stops working and fails, and when user changes his 'preferred and alternate to DNS, he is fine with email and internet authentication but now name resolution is not working for ministry servers.

What could be possible solutions to this ?

If information not clear please let me know.

How about creating a forwarder and adding the domain to suffix search list!
