  • date format for domain users changing even after disabling the policy

    Hi,

We have changed the date format of all domain users using > user config > preference > control panel settings > regional settings.

But now even after disabling this policy for some reasons, the date format is still changing to the format as set above. Please help. Is there anything to do with group policy caching ?

    Please help.

    Regards,
    Anishk

It's likely that the setting got cached in the local user profile. Disabling the policy won't affect it, but if you change the policy to what you want it to be, the new policy should overwrite that setting.

Correct - Group Policy "tattoos" the registry so once a setting is pushed out, it must be undone by a different policy
