  • local server as part of AD across WAN

    Hello All:

We would like to deploy a terminal server in our local office with this terminal server as a member of a domain controller and integrated with our existing AD across WAN in our USA office.

Can any one guide me how to go about it?

    Thanks & Regards

Re: local server as part of AD across WAN

Create a router to router VPN between the offices
Make sure the RDS server can resolve a DC by FQDN
Join the domain, using long form (domain.com) domain name instead of NetBIOS name when running the wizard

Consider having a RODC at the branch office in case the VPN goes down
