    what issues might occur if you change a given OU's name? what can be done to elivate this issue if any? the OU that is going to be renamed is located as a sub OU.

    There should be no technical issues as all internal references use the OU's SID, which will not change

      The only problems I forsee would be with custom scripts and the like where you have hard coded the CN for the OU.

      As Ossian pointed out, the name of the OU is really a convenience so humans can read and digest it. The directory itself is sensetive to SIDs.
      Rules of life:
      1. Never do anything that requires thinking after 2:30 PM
      2. Simplicity is godliness
      3. Scale with extreme prejudice


      I occasionally post using a savantphone, so please don't laugh too hard at the typos...
