  • Allow sharing to a Domain User, help plz

    hi all,

I had searched about 2 hours but i didnt found a way to give sharing permission to a normal user who is member of Domain users,

I use Windows Server 2008 R2, and a client which has 7 operating system.

just I found that the user must be member of Domain admins or Power Users or higher, definitely it is not the way that i'm searching for cause it reduce the network security.

I have tried Delegation, but it was not useful enough.

is there another way to configure a user for sharing access through Group Policy or software (maybe)?

    best regards,

What exactly are they needing permission to do?
I think you are wanting to share folders on a client????

If so, use GPO restricted groups to make them a local admin or Power User on the client machine -- but definitely not a domain admin

Accessing other people shares should be automatic IF the user has appropriate permission
To be able to share out folders see my previous reply

Since you have an Active Directory domain (at least from your first post I assume you do) you will create a domain GPO
for "restricted groups" to find out what to do
