  • User IDs from List of Users

    Hello,

I am new to this forum and fairly new to the AD world. I hope I am posting this in the proper forums.

My question is that I have a list of users and their email addresses. Is there a way I can get their user ids from active directory?

I found a few scripts that will search for a single user but I was wondering if there's a way to find the info for multiple users?

    Thanks

    Hi Roo

I suspect you've used already but possibly in the wrong context?

Try a search for "script retrieve user details in AD" exclude the quotes

you should find what your looking for, hope this was helpful

CSVDE to Excel, then use CTRL+F to find them!

If your running 2008 R2 you can use PowerShell (Start -> Admin tool -> AD PowerShell will open Powershell with the proper module loaded)

        Code:
Get-ADUser -Filter * -Properties Name, SamAccountName, Email | ft *
This will output all users' name, samid (username), and email address..
