  • query AD

    Hi All,

Can I query AD using "userlogon name" and find out which workstation is my user currently logon to?

    Thanks.

    Re: query AD

No, that info is not stored in AD. In order to do this reliably you probably need a third-party product.

        Re: query AD

hmm.. i thought all info is store in AD.

I was thinking to use user logon name as a primary key whereby all information related to the concerned user will be available to system administrator.

I guess I have to explore open source (no IT budget at my workplace).. saw this application called OCS Inventory, I think it can help.

btw, why do i see a form called "owner" when i use FIND: Computers in ADUC?

        thanks.
