  • Remove old DHCP servers from AD

When I open the DHCP snap-in and then right-click and select Add Server, I have 4 servers in the list that don't handle DHCP anymore. The servers phycally still exist, but DHCP was uninstalled some time ago. I also have a new server I just authorized and it lists the temporary IP address I assigned it during installation, so I can't connect to it unless I browse for it.

Does anyone know exactly where this information is stored in Acive Directory so I can edit it or remove it?

    Thanks in advance,

    Brian

Try to remove the old DHCP's by using ADSIEDIT:

Yet another way, perhaps a bit cleaner, is to use NETSH.
