  • Question on Server 2008 R2 DFL and DFS-R

    Hi All,

This would be my first post to the Community.

I had been reading the MSFT Self-Paced Kit for Exam 70-640. The book talks about migration from Server 2003 DFL - Server 2008 DFL and then switching to DFS-R.

My question is, if all the DCs in the Forest/Domain are acting at Server 2008 Domain Functional level right from the time of installation and creation of the domain/forest, do we have to explicitly enable DFS-R [or] is DFS-R enabled by default in such a configuration?

    Thank you!

    Your response is highly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Dennis.
