  • Stupid easy AD command to list first/last names??????

I don't pretend to know much about /cmd commands and am at a loss as to how to do this. All I want to do is list the first and last names of users in a particular AD group.

I don't care if I do it with csvde or what. Surely there is a simple way to do this. Pretend I want to list all the users in group AB_A12B_250

how the heck do I do this? Can it be listed in a text file?

dsget would do it better than csvde
there's also powershell commands that would do it

sorry, I kind of need it spelled out...

      I tried this command:

dsquery group -name "AB_A12B_250" | dsget group -members

It works except it only returns their ID's... I need their First and Last names...

Finally... figured it out on my own.

just needed to add an extra line of dsget user -fn -ln

you may need to double up the output..
for instance, first get the output of dsget group -users
then take that, and pipe it into dsget user
