  • Authentication between two domains

Hi, I have two forests(A & B) and each has users in it. Now I want to allow users from forest A to access some of the resources in forest B. I know I can create a two-way forest trust to accomplish this. But I heard that it can also be done by configuring foreign security principles so that trust between forests is not required. I am confused how it works. Could you please share pointers to any such method if you know?

    Re: Authentication between two domains

I think you are looking at creating accounts in Forest B that Forest A users know about -- they would have to give (or cache) the credentials so when they access a resource in Forest B the local credentials are presented.

Depending on the number of users involved, this may be easier to implement than the trust
