  • DSGet user query to show all fax numbers

Ok, I'm using the following query, trying to return all fax numbers for our users under a certain OU.
dsquery user "OU=<UserDN>" -limit 50000| dsget user -display -email -fax > c:\fax.txt

It works, mostly. The problem is that several of the users are going to have multiple fax numbers listed, but under Fax Number (Others). Does anyone know a way of showing the contents of this field also? I tried using -expand like you would with a group result listing, but that didn't help.

pick one user, who you know has the additional fax numbers

do a dsget of just this user, get all the output fields
filter through to find whast you want

add that option to your initial dsget command..

dsget does not return "otherFaxes". Consider using Adfind
      Code:
      AdFind.exe -b "OU=Tst,OU=company,DC=domain,DC=local" -f "objectcategory=person" facsimileTelephoneNumber otherFacsimileTelephoneNumber
Else, create a vbs or a powershell script.
