Re: how to set home folder for 100 user

    Hi,

Either to create a Romaing Profile for each of them or if they are belongs to one department you can create a mab Drive for that Department to point the drive in the user that gonna login into the domain.

Mabbing, create a Group and users belongs to that group and only those users have got permission to view the content of this folders.

Hope this will help you. Any futher thing please, don't hesistate to ask.

      Hi habibalby

First of all ,I appreciate your reply

about mapping drive, you are mapping the same folder to all those users, and this not what I need.
I need that each user has his own home folder and nobody other than him has the permission to access it.

      Thanks

I think you'll need to script it or set it using a GPO

          Then,

as what wullieb1 said, use logon script to map the drive for each user.

          Thanks,

Re: how to set home folder for 100 user

not tried it but should work,

              open AD
select all the users, assuming that there in the same OU
make sure that only users are selected, not sub OU, or groups,

              right click > properties

              select the Profile tab

              tick home folder

connect drive letter u: to \\servername\sharename\%username%

Re: how to set home folder for 100 user

There is a free tool from Microsoft called ADModify that may do the trick for you.
I can't remember it has an option for setting user homefolders, but it's made for making changes to multiple users at once.

The program can be found at ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/PSS/Tools/Ex...ools/ADModify/

                Cheers
