  • Cross Domain Trust Scripts/Home Drives

    I have a 2 way trust between domains. One is a 2003 domain (Domain A) and one is a 2008 R2 domain (Domain B).

When a user from Domain A logs into a terminal server on Domain B, their login scripts and home drive does not process. The enters their credentials and picks Domain A.

I have edited the scripts and home drives to include the FQDN so that DNS can do it's part.

I know the trust is working because I can add permissions and edit groups with users from either domain.

I have also enabled "Allow Cross-Forest User Policy and Roaming User Profiles" GPO on both domains thinking that it would allow for my scripts and home drives to run.

Scripts and home drives are allocated at the user properties level.

What am I missing? Or is this even possible?

Crap. I forgot I opened up another thread last week about this.

Well, I did figure out my issue.

I had to put the DNS suffix for Domain A into the terminal servers for Domain B.

It was a pretty simple fix after that.
