  • Active Directory problem?

I'm stumped. I have Win 2k8 with Ubuntu-When I click on Computer and "Manage" in AD, it gives this error. "Computer cannot be managed.(null)" Anyone know why this is? Tried to google it. I can ping the ip back and fourth.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes. I can "Manage" Win XP and Win 7. just fine. It's just when I right click on the Ubuntu workstation in AD it gives that error.

        Re: Active Directory problem?

I don't think it is possible to manage an Ubuntu workstation using windows tools. Although most linux flavours can be joint to an Active Directory domain, it only allows users to use their AD account to logon to the linux box.

Manage in ADUC = Computer Management MMC
With non-windows AD members it is not possible

Thanks everyone, I figured that. I just needed secondary confirmation. Just trying to do some different tests of what I can do with AD.

            Thanks again.
