  • Messy AD transition

    Hi,

I am trying to find out some information to aid a messy transition. We currently have a 2000 native functional level domain, but we have a 2008 r2 schema!

We need to upgrade to a 2003 functional level. Then to a full 2008 r2 functional level, but there are many other servers that need to be upgraded in the middle.

Can anyone please tell me if we are going to be able to upgrade from 2000 to 2003 functional level with a 2008 r2 schema?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Re: Messy AD transition

    Hi,

Yes you can keep the FFL/DFL level windows Server 2003 but then You 2000 DC won't work again. MemberServers can still work.
    Thanks & Regards
