  • How to allow helpdesk to disable account

I looking for a way to allow helpdesk folks to disable an account. I dont want them to be able to delete or create so the delegation wizard is no help.

We are running AD2000 on the domain controllers at the present time. I am in a learning mode and dont quite understand on the permissions levels. I need details on how to accomplish this. I am also not sure if I will be doing this at the top level of the domain or on a OU by OU basis so if there is a difference please state so.

    graphics are good

    thank you for your assistance

It is the delegation wizard you should be using, you just have to go down the Custom task route.

Right click the OU with all your users.

Select your helpdesk group on which to delegate.

    Create Custom Task

Hit "Only the following objects" then hit "User objects"

Then choose "Property Specific" and set desired permissions.

    topper.
    * Shamelessly mentioning "Don't forget to add reputation!"
