AD search logon Name

  • AD search logon Name

    Hi

    i have just changed our logon names to ID numbers , the pre 2000 left the same as the user name was .

    now i would like to add those users to a group and i cannot find them when i type the numbers , only when i type the name i can find them

    Please assist

    Hi,

    How many DC and are these single domain. Please provide topology information.

    This could be due to replication delay as well if you have multiple DC over different sites

      we ahve only two DC , its not replication issue
      i can find the users only if i type the full number for example
      [email protected]
      if ill type only few numbers i will not find it , only if ill type [email protected] then i will find it

        Hi,

        Can you provide me the attribute that you have changed. (require example) What is your OS, Domain Functional Level and Forest Functional Level.

        I will try to repro the same.
