  • Security Settings on files and folders

    Hi ,

We are using a SBS 2000. Active Directory is installed and configured on it. Now Earlier the domain name was abc.com and now after my hdd is got crashed i change the domain name is abc.local . Now we have assigned a critical folder and file level permission on sevral folders , subfolders and files inside it.

Now everytime when i am opening those files i am getting message access denied , and i need to manually reconfigure security settings for those files. Is there a way to resolve this easily as its quite difficult to open every folders and subfolders inside it and files .

    Please help...

    Thanks,

Re: Security Settings on files and folders

    Hi,

You can try forcing inheritance and correcting the permission only if child items are inherting permission otherwise need to write some vbcode.
    Thanks & Regards
