  • Duplicate ip addresses

    Hi,

Have SCOM 2007 which is reporting from about 6 servers there is a duplicate IP address on the network.

Nobody is complaining of issues, DNS looks fine. Have done a dns flush on the machines, but they still report the issue.

Does anyone have any recommendadtions for utils or guides to trying to find the dumplate ip address?

    Cheers

So, uh, are there duplicate configurations on the servers? You have configured static IP addresses to the servers, right?

You could try disabling the NIC on the server that there is a dup IP out there for. Give it some time and perhaps the machine with the dup IP will register with DNS and you can get the name of it.
