  • managedBy field

    Hello,

So in the past I've managed to get this working but for some reason at a client site I'm not getting the same result...

We're using the managedBy field of AD Computers to show the last logged in user. We implement this with a login script pushed out via GPO that basically changes the managedBy field to the currently logged in user. I know the script is good because it works on my Domain Admin account when i log into a box. The issue is that if a normal user logs in then it doesn't update the field.

I've already granted authenticated users rights to both read and write to the managedby property in AD. Its almost like I don't have the permissions correct. If i manually run the script with a test user it doesn't work either.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks,
    Ernst.
