  • How to join two seperate domains containing AD 2003

We need to allow 60 XP workstations from another company (merged)to log onto our 2003 AD domain. I already have a 2MB leased line into the HQ office where the server is based & another one installed in the remote office. The Remote site has a Windows 2000 domain with AD. I have Site to Site Tunnel setup, but wondered if anyone could offer me advice or links to information on how exactly the remote users would logon to our domain across the Tunnel when they logon to their PC. For further information DHCP server also exist in the remote office.

The primary reason to do this is to migrate email users to exchange environment and also network resources

    Any clarification appreciated

You can setup a trust between the two domains

      Hi bd200x

      Thanks for your advice.

Just want to clarify bit more. should the domains be in one subnet or seperate. Currently two subnets exist. Since two domain with AD exist what type of trust replationship should I create? Is it External two-way transitive???

      Thanks in advance
