  • Methods to keep AD Organization information up to date?

    I am hoping to automate the process of auditing the AD users organization information (what department they work for, who is their manager, etc). The workplace here has a user population that is frequently changing jobs so I find that more often than not, the manager listed in AD for a user is incorrect.
    Does anyone currently do this without resorting to the purchase of additional software? I was hoping to utilize csvde to extract the user information, and then mail merge to email a manager with a list of their direct reports. Or is there an easier way to tackle this? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Pass the buck to HR and give them delegated access to user properties

    If it isn't up to date it becomes their problem

    Basically, IT should not meddle with things that are not directly relevant to running the network
