  • RBAC and AD

Please, confirm or correct my understanding that AD (Win Ser. 200 does not directly support RBAC.

I need to create an Role with no assigned Actors (yet) and no related protected Assets (yet) but with a set of Access Rights (like read, update, etc.). I have not found any simple ways of doing so except a creation of Group for users named Role. Then, I will need to create a real Group of Actors and make this group a member of the Role group... I have not even tried to allocate Access Rights to the Role group without particular protected Asset. Am I on the right path or there is the better way of doing RBAC in AD environment?

    Re: RBAC and AD

Not quite sure what you are trying to achieve but see if the AzMan.msc (MMC snap in) can help.
