  • AD Domain

    Hi,

Hope that someone can be of some help to. Im working on a project with my company as we are rebranding the business. I've been given the task of changing over the internal AD domain and accounts to the new business name.

Our business used to be for instance example.com so when building the domain we automatically used example.com as our AD domain name.

But, our new business name is example.co.uk. Are we able to have our AD domain as example.co.uk or does it have to be a .com address.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: AD Domain

There is no relationship between the internal DNS name and the one used for the outside world. There are different schools of thought over whether they should be the same -- I prefer an internal name e.g. example.corp that is not visible on the internet
