    DC: WINDOWS SERVER 2003 SP2
    CLIENT: WINDOWS XP PRO

    CLIENTS LOGGING EVENT ID 15. ODBC APPLICATION NOT WORKING, TIMING OUT. THERE IS NO CONNECTIVITY PROBLEM AS THERE IS A PROPER PING STATUS USING IP ADDRESS AND DNS NAME. WHEN IP RELEASED AND RENEWED, ABLE TO CONNECT TO APPLICATION. BUT AFTER SOMETIME, AGAIN APPLICATION NOT WORKING. NOTICED THAT ALMOST EVERY COMPUTER IS LOGGING EVENT ID 15 SINCE LAST WEEK BUT STARTED TO NOTICING TODAY WHEN USERs STARTED TO COMPLAIN.

      Its a payroll system. The user desktop points to a shortcut to a member server where the actual exe and files are. Besides the payroll system a lot of applications are odbc based in the office. I found that there is also problems in windows remote desktop when it happens. Accessing file shares is ok. Besides event id 15, there is also event id 1030 being logged in the network.
