  • dsquery returns correct number of results, but they're all empty?

I'm having a very strange problem.
I've been relying on dsquery very heavliy recently, as we are using it in a process to change all the Administrator passwords on certain computers in our domain.

Anyway, starting today, whenever I call dsquery, it returns a list of sets of empty double quotes. It returns the right NUMBER of double quotes, depending on the query (i.e. if I search for one specific computer name, it returns ""), but I'm getting no information besides the number of results.

dsquery works just fine on the same account on other systems....it just all of a sudden started doing this on my system.

I ran a system restore to when I knew it was working, no luck.
    What could be wrong?

did you try to export output to a text file?

    ex: dsquery computer >test.txt
The chase is better than the catch

@ip2host: That's what my script was doing in the first place. Same result
