  • RODC - How to tell?

Might be a silly question but how do you tell if a DC is a RODC or normal DC when logged onto the server?

Well I also do not remember any technical way but i believe, if one open DSA.msc and look on DC object, in its description it clearly shows as RODC.

Or in DS site , you will see that there are only one way connection objects

will let you know more once i remember something

        Start the 'Computer management' console.
If you can manage 'Local users and Groups' from there then the DC is a ReadOnly DC.

karan is right, within 'Active Directory Users And Computers' browse to the RODC's computer object the "DC Type" should contain "ReadOnly". The computer object properties on tab 'Managed by' shoiuld also show it is a RODC.
