Do you not just set it as an active directory integrated zone, let it replicate then bobs your uncle?

How do i do that? The wizard gives me options of creating a new forward zone, forward and reverse zone and root hints. Am i in the wrong place?

      Is it done by default?

No need to create a new zone. The new DC should pick up the existing AD integrated zone. This may take a while, especially on larger domains. I have seen it take a couple of hours. You may restart the DNS service for good luck.

Nice one. It seems to be ok. Another quick question. A while back i added a reverse zone to our DNS server but that hasn't copied to our new DNS server (the forward zone has). What do i do to get it over to the other srver (and to keep updating when a change is made)?

          Thanks

Stupid question: is the reverse zone AD integrated ?

Doubt it as there are only about 6 or 7 entries in there.
