  • Active Directory Group Memberships

1 Server 2003 with Active Directory
3 XP Pro clients all on the same domain
    Isolated network - no Internet

I need to be able to log-on to a client with a user account that would have the capability to see what Group Memberships that any of the other user accounts may be in - (in AD).
This user account will only have Power User privileges on the client.

Note: My preferred method would normally be to install the adminpak.msi on a client to run dsget, dsquery etc...,
although I cannot install the adminpak.msi on the clients due to configuration requirements. bummer

    Any ideas?

    Chuck

    Re: Active Directory Group Memberships

using Exchange and outlook 2007, I can see MOST group memberships in our, admittedly flat, domain.
Please do show your appreciation to those who assist you by leaving Rep Point https://www.petri.com/forums/core/im.../icon_beer.gif

      Re: Active Directory Group Memberships

Thanks for the reply tehcamel, although there is no Exchange server on this isolated network.

Is it possible to retrieve the Group Memberships via the command line?
I am in need of trying to use command line arguments without having to
      install adminpak.msi.

      LDAP?
