  • Move users from one site to other...

I'm having a problem to solve...

How can i move users on active directory from one site to other... one problem is that the users will stay on one building and the dc where they must login are in other building.

The servers where they are now, will be stoped for some days (repairs on building infracture)

So i just need to move the users from the actual dc to the other one, on diferent site but same domain.

DNS, DHCP on the "new" site too.

    How can i do this?

When you say new site do you mean new domain or a new site in the same domain???

If your servers will be going offline ensure that the DC in the other site is a GC and it will handle logons for you.

        actual:

        site 1
        dc01.1
        dc02.1

        site 2
        dc01.2
        dc02.2

        Temporary:

        site 1
        dc01
        dc02

        Site 2

        Site 3
        dc01.2
        dc02.2

What i need is that users that stay on site 2 logon on site 1

Are you going to move the server from that Building which you going to repair to other building.
Since you cant make the Server offline and make the user login.

Let me know if u have more questions

          Thanks

Yes, remove the dc from one site to a new one...

            All dc configured like GC.

How do i need to change to the users that stay on the "site" without dc can login.

I guess you are telling that the users are in the building which is going to be repaired and which is without DC (moved to another building).
Am i right? Correct me if i am wrong.

              Thanks
