  • problem on configure allow user object ONLY logon to selected computer.

    Hi all,

I face a problem on configure allow user object ONLY logon to selected computer.

    My environment
    Single Forest Single Domain
Domain and Forest Functional Level is Windows Server 2003
Replication between Site is Daily Night time.

On AD user object -> Properties -> Account -> Log On To
    There have two option,
    1) All Computer
    2) The following computer

I try to SELECT "The following computer" and ADD the correct computer object.
I had try do manual replication between site and root domain once complete set the setting.
Next, I try check on Root DC and Site DC, both setting are same ONLY "The following computer" is set.
Then I try to using the selected user to logon others computer and it is NOT allow.
This mean my setting is correct.
However, after the next day the user setting go back to "All Computer".

May I know why this happen?
How to solve this? I really need to configure the user object only logon to selected computer.

Enable Account Management Auditing on your DCs and see if you can locate the relevant event. That should give you a hint.

All auditing appears in the security log
If you have multiple domain controllers, you will need to check each one (or use EventCombMT)
