  • User account restrictions deny access to OWA

    We have a Windows server 2003 environment and we are using Exchange 2003. We have an outside sales person who we want to have remote access to e-mail through Outlook Web Access but we do not want that user to have local log on rights to any of our internal systems. When I place restrictions of his account using the "logon to" list his access is denied in OWA as well. I have tried putting the exchange server in the logon to list but that doesn't help. Any ideas for a work around would be greatly appreciated. JeanD

    I don't know if this works, so make sure to test this

    * create a security group OWA-ONLY
    * place that uses in that group
    * create a GPO for that security group only
    * set the deny Interactive logon property
