  • What is the use of SID?

When the GUID is global unique identifier and does not change then what is the requirement of having SID for AD objects?

I got that, it is for the backward compatibility
Is there any other reason..what if my domain is in native mode?

        Did you read the article?
Windows uses SIDs for security even in AD:
ACLs continue to identify users and groups by SID, not GIUD—even ACLs on resources in Active Directory. A user gains access to, say, a Group Policy object, based on one of the user's SIDs, not on the GUID for the User object.

            GUID is globally unique

SIDS are unique within a domain
