Quite a few questions... I can help with the XP Tour straight off, it's a registry value -

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Applets\Tour

Create a new value in that location called "RunCount" which is a REG_DWORD and set the value to 0

Not sure off the top of my head - You could do it with the logon script though? Or does it need to be GPO?

I just have one small question for you, try to answer if you can:

Why is it that you think others should give you the answer to the questions in the project? Do you want to disable the XP Tour? Why not do a simple Google search? Why come here, ask the question, wait for an answer, when in 5 seconds you could have come with this:

            http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...isable+xp+tour

            ???????

Perhaps it's easier for you to let others do the work, but if you ask me, it makes the entire project quite useless.
            Cheers,

Yeah well, as I said, I'm sure you'll learn more from actually doing the search yourself, rather than letting someone do the search for you.

                What do you think?
                Cheers,

I'm sure you are. Question is how. Your question about the tour prompt disable in XP shows that you're either using a very bad search engine, or you simply don't know how to use one.

To sum this topic - I don't have problems with you (or anyone) asking questions. This is what the forum is all about.

But to do a self study project and let others answer.... Well, it totally misses the point.

This is my opinion, you may choose not to agree of course.
                    Cheers,

                      ok,

                      >for the XP tour
setting up a registry can be done through a GPO or a startup script.

                      > need to set that documents larger that 50 pages will be printed at night
                      why???? i don't think this doesn't exist..

                      >also to set that the favorites folder will be part of the My Documents folder
this belongs to profiles, so use roaming profiles, or write a script (logon/logoff) which copies the favorites to the my documents

                      >if there is no activity for 10min - force logoff
                      use google: http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&q=...y+xp&meta=

                      > to set the firewall of the users (open ports etc...)
can be done via gpo http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&q=...licy&meta=

                      >how to assimilate the new SP on the XP i386 folder
                      use the site from petri:

so it isn't that hard to search...
