  • Creating accounts with similar First and Last name in Active Directory

Is it possible to create Users in the same OU in Active Directory with the same First and Last name and same middle initial but different login ID.

    Thanks,

No because they would have the same RDN.

I think firstname, last name and initial can be same. But display name and login ID(samaccountname) should differ.

Display name isn't used to construct the DN of an object. By default its based on the firstname, minitial, lastname but you can always change it after to anything you want.

RDN needs to be unique in the OU
SAMacctname needs to be unique in the Domain
UPN needs to be unique in the Forest
