  • W2K mixed mode to native prep

    Hello,

I'm planning on moving my W2K AD from mixed to native mode, I have read what I could find and I have no NT or older clients that require mixed.

My question is I cannot find any reference to any preparation before making this irreversible change. Is it really as straight forward as hit the button drink coffee?

    What gotcha's have I missed?

    Ta.

Yeah it's just hitting that button.
If you have no earlier NT4.0 DC then go make the changes

But why you want to do it.
    Thanks & Regards

Re: W2K mixed mode to native prep

I'm changing to native prior to the first introduction of a W2K3 DC, which is being brought online into the W2K AD prior to the W2K3 AD upgrade.

That was easier to say in my head......

Domain functional level, thanks for the link....

I will ensure all DC's on same patch level
            Backup my DC's
            Sync the AD
            And hit the button

Will let you know what happens.....
