  • Replication not working after changing IP address of AD host

Due to changes in my COLO provider, I had to change IP addresses of my 2 pairs win2k servers with AD+DNS (master and replicated between every 2 hosts) machines. as a result replication stopped working.

1 pair os hosts are installed within the same segment and IP range.
Each host of the other pair is temporarily on different segments as they are on separate firewall interfaces.

    Questions:
    - how do i restore the replication with the new IP addresses?
    - what ports need to be allowed for the second pair to communicate?

    I appreciate your help!

Have you examined netdiag or dcdiag output ?

netdiag /fix should re-register the relevant RRs in the DNS.
Make sure that each DC points to another DC/DNS as it's DNS resolver.
