  • AD 2003 extend schema and update users

    Hello,
I'm looking to add a new aux objectclass with bunch of attributes. How could I do it without using MMC/Active Directory Schema plug-in; I have a ldif with the objectclass and attribute definition ?. Would prefer to use command line options.
After having added this, how could I add this objectclass to all the existing users in a OU ?

    Please advice.

    Cheers,
    John

    ldifde -i file -j "c:\log location"
just run ldifde /? for more info.
remember you must be a member of Schema Admins for that task.

Now, how do I add this new objectclass to all the users under a OU ?

In W2K3 you can link an aux class either to existing stractural object class (i.e.: user), which will result in all the objects of the stractural object class getting the new attributes, or link the aux class explicitly to a specific object. Which route do you want to go ?
