  • Need guidance about one way trasitive trust in 2 domains

    Hello,

    I have 2 domains in 2 different site's.
I am setting up SharePoint server in 1 domain.
I want to add user's from other domain.
When I try to add obviously it can't find those user's in my Active Directory.
Both domains are in Windows 2003 mode.
    Both domains have Exchange server.
By creating one way trasitive trust, admin from another domain can log in to any of my domain/mail/file server's?

Microsoft document says admin from other domain by default gets full access which is not good.

    Any suggesions?
Both sites are connected to each other via IPSec VPN tunnel using preshared key and at both ends DNS entries of all servers, workstations is updated.

    Regards,
    AmeY.

We do this, but can't recall exactly how.

Basically I think that User.com trusts Sharepoint.com. So Sharepoint.com admins are admins in User.com, but not vise versa.

In user.com, make a group with access, and grant that group access in Sharepoint.com (maybe visversa)
