  • Getting query statistics from DNS

    Good morning ,

I need to know how many queries I receive for particular domains on a DNS server. The reason for it is I need to prioritize the list of domain suffix searches on another system and I need to know which domains are the most popular to make a decent list of what suffixes I need to add and in what order.

There are a lot of technical reasons why I need to do that so let's not get started about why this solution sucks

How would you log this on a production system while not affecting performance too much? I am trying to avoid logging packets to do this.

    Thanks

Yeah.. I was hoping that logging queries could be enabled somewhere else than in Debug Logging but after searching elsewhere as well, it seems that is really my only option.

      Thanks.
