  • AD Authenication

    Hi

I have a IIS 6.0 web application and SQL 2005 server (both on the same server) sitting in the DMZ.
I would like my internal users to log on to the application using their AD credentials.
What permissions do i need to set on the server and what ports do i need to open on the firewall to allow for this. Any security issues I need to be aware of?
Also do I need to set up some sort of trusted connection between the IIS app and the SQL database?? if so how do i go about doing this?

Any help would be graetly appreciated.

    Many Thanks in advance.

Did you already looked at the Active Directory Federation Services [ADFS]?

      - http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...S_Overview.doc

google for: adfs dmz to find the pros and cons using this server.

thanks for that... but if users are going to be internal users only, wouldn't it be overkill??

I just want what the easiest and simplest solution to use. I've read about LDAP but not sure how it works?? Do I need to do anything special to DC in internal network to allow this??

        Thanks in advance
