  • Disable Windows XP tour (MCSA project)

    trying to solve the 21st question of the project.
    I think it can be disabled from the Active Directory.
    Also need help solving the rest of the question.. how to configure the "Favorites" folder on the clients computers to be a part of their "My Documents" folder?

      I can't read it either, but as for the topic title, here is a tip:

      If a setting is not available as a default GPO , but is a registry setting, you can make a custom ADM template. Set the registry value for the key when set to enabled and disabled in your GPO. Then, create a policy using your new adm file.
      VCP on vSphere (4), MCITP:EA/DBA, MCTS:Blahblah

        I'm pretty sure there's a GPO for disableing the windows XP tour. I'll take a closer look when I' near an XP machine (Yes my client is still using 2000)

          I'm pretty sure it's an GPO option, but still I can't find the way to reach it in the GPO.

            Blast from the past but did you ever manage to get this solved? I couldn't find a GPO already created to disable the tour so I created a custome adm to do it I can send it if anyone needs it
