  • Question about Universal groups

We just inherited a domain and setup a two way trust between them. Domain A and B are in two different forest. We created a universal group in domain A "Prommis Users". I open this group and try to add some members from domain B. When I open up the group and try to browse to domain B it only shows domain B. I have tried even typing it out domainB\member or [email protected]. This does not work either. Anyone have any suggestions? I am an enterprise admin on both domains and I have tried it backwards as well from domain B to A.

    Regards,

    Re: Question about Universal groups

Universal Group Membership is restricted to Users and Global Groups within the same Forest. Users and Global Groups from other trusted Forests cannot be added as members of a Universal Group.

Ahh that makes sense. We figured out a work around using sql permissions. Thanks again!
